It’s time to make these Christmas tree cupcakes
This post contains affiliate links for your baking experience. To make these Christmas tree cupcakes you will need the following supplies:
- 1 Chocolate cupcake mix and fixings to make them.
- Vanilla frosting – you can purchase it or make your own.
- Green gel food coloring
- Grass decorating tip
- Icing bag
- Whole strawberries
- Sixlets Candies
- Yellow candy stars
To make these Christmas tree cupcakes, start by baking some plain chocolate cupcakes and allow them to cool.
While the cupcakes are cooking you can make and color your frosting mix with the green gel food coloring.
Once the cupcakes, have fully cooled, cut the bottom of your strawberries so that they are flat. Slice the top of your cupcake to give you a flat base for the berry to stand on, too.
Place the grass icing tip in an icing bag and add your green frosting mixture.
Pipe the outside of the berries, pulling the tips out slightly so that they have some dropped ends. Continue icing until the strawberry is covered and it looks like a Christmas tree.
(For a tutorial showing how to use the grass tip, see this blog post on my food blog. Add your Sixlet candy for ornaments and place a single yellow candy star on the top of the tree.
Arrange them on a platter on your dessert table in the shape of a Christmas tree.
These fun Christmas tree Cupcakes are sure to be the hit of your holiday dessert table! Enjoy!
