March is such a fun month to celebrate! March is the third month of the year. In the Northern Hemisphere, spring comes this month but in the Southern Hemisphere, it is actually the beginning of autumn. The name of the month comes from Mars, the Roman god of war.  Martius was also the first month of the earliest Roman Calendar.  

In the USA, March is National Nutrition Month, Music in our Schools Month and National Celery Month, among others. Birthstones for March are aquamarine and bloodstone, the flower is the daffodil and the zodiac sign is Pisces up to March 20 and Aries after that date.
