Ingredients for these easy owl cookies
To make these cute owl cookies, you will need the following ingredients:
- 2 Graham crackers
- 4 peanut butter cups
- 8 M&Ms
- 2 pieces of candy corn
- 4 large marshmallows
- 1 teaspoon of chocolate frosting
- Toothpicks
How to make these owl snacks for kids
For each owl, you’ll need two peanut butter cups. It’s time to trim the pieces! Two will be used whole and two will be trimmed.
Using a very sharp knife, cut the top and bottom off each peanut butter cup to give you four “wings”. Next, cut the marshmallow in half, so the back is sticky for the eyes.
Finally, trim the bottom quarter off of the graham cracker pair to give you a cookie to rest your owls on.
Use the trimmed Graham cracker as a base for your cookie treat. Add some of the chocolate frosting to the sticky back of the sliced marshmallows.
Push them down on the top of the cracker to start the eyes.
Add just a dab of frosting on each M&M and place is on the marshmallows to make eyeballs.
Use a small amount of chocolate frosting on the back of the whole peanut butter cup, and stick it down under the eyes for the body of the owl.
Place a dab of chocolate frosting on the Graham cracker near each shoulder and attach the cut pieces of peanut butter cup for wings.
Add another bit of frosting on the back of a piece of candy corn and place it between the eyes for the nose of the owl.
Finally, slice some of the M&Ms in half to make toes and attach them with a dab of frosting.
Tada!! That is all there is to making these adorable Halloween owl cookies. Serve them with a big glass of milk and enjoy!
