You may have heard of the national days of October, but did you know that there are also October awareness months and nationally recognized October monthly observances?

Just like the national days of the year, these monthly observances cover a wide range of topics. From health awareness months to national food months, there are so many occasions to observe.

On the medical front, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s also celebrated by animal-lovers as Adopt A Shelter Dog Month and the foodies as National Pizza Month.
