It’s happy hour – Time for some cocktail recipes, or a fresh bottle of beer – Halloween style! Of course, you can just use a regular ice bucket for your party drinks but this cute DIY idea features a pumpkin instead. The pumpkin makes a great decorative touch to your party table and works as a pumpkin drink holder at the same time.
Make a Halloween Pumpkin Drink Holder.
To make this neat holder, just cut the top third off a very large pumpkin and then scoop out the flesh and seeds. Save these for recipes, like these toasted pumpkins seeds from The Gardening Cook.
Then get creative. You can paint a design on the pumpkin if you like, or use Halloween decals to stick to the outside. The sky is the limit on the decor ideas. This one features a bat and the words Halloween Happy Hour, but a pumpkin face, or a witch or even the word “cheers” would look great too.
Fill up the inside of the pumpkin with ice and then add your wine and beer bottles. You can add a Dollar store plastic liner in it to keep the water when it melted and make it less messy too.
