Peanut butter is a food group as far as I am concerned. I love the stuff! Adding chocolate to it to make a peanut butter cup just adds to the appeal!

I also used both peanut butter cups and candy corn in my cookie turkeys. They are adorable and the kids will love to help you make them.

Today, we’ll be using my favorite candy along with another Halloween favorite – candy corn – to bake some cookies in the shape of cut little owls.

Candy corn is very popular, particularly in the fall. There are so many ways to use it in recipes. There is even a National Candy Corn Day, celebrated on October 30 each year.

Did you also know that you can grow candy corn plant in your garden? You won’t get the candy but the look and colors are the same!

Hoot hoot, let’s make some owl cookies!

Halloween is such a busy time of the year. Whether it is planning an adult Halloween party, or making cookies in fun Halloween shapes, no one needs another baking project right now.

Fortunately, these owl cookies are no bake. Just assemble them using the Halloween candy you have on hand, along with some marshmallows, a bit of frosting and some graham crackers.

You’ll have a sweet treat in no time at all.

If you think owls are as cute as I do, make sure you check out my list of pumpkin carving ideas. Hint hint – there’s an owl on the list!

To make these cute owl cookies, you will need the following ingredients:

Fall towel, crackers, frosting and candy.

  • Graham crackers
  • Regular sized peanut butter cups
  • M&Ms
  • Jumbo marshmallows
  • Candy corn
  • Frosting
  • Toothpicks

Making the owl body

For each owl, you’ll need two peanut butter cups. It’s time to trim the pieces! Two will be used whole and two will be trimmed.

(No points for guessing where the middle of the trimmed pieces go. 😉 )

Using a very sharp knife, Cut the top and bottom off each peanut butter cup to give you four “wings.” Next, cut the marshmallow in half, so the back is sticky for the eyes.

Finally, trim the bottom quarter off of the graham cracker pair to give you a cookie to rest your owls on.Cut peanut butter cups and marshmallows with graham crackers on a board.

Use the trimmed Graham cracker as a base for your cookie treat. Add some of the chocolate frosting to the sticky back of the sliced marshmallows.

Push them down on the top of the cracker to start the eyes.

Add just a dab of frosting on each M&M and place is on the marshmallows to make eyeballs.Marshmallows and MMs to make eyeballs.

Use a small amount of chocolate frosting on the back of the whole peanut butter cup, and stick it down under the eyes for the body of the owl.
